Hi, I am Raymond Dean.
I grew up in Chicago, with its fascinating culture, architecture, and food. As a kid, I was a word lover. You’d always find me with my nose in a notebook where I was scribbling poems, short stories, or random ideas that popped into my little head.
In high school, I discovered something interesting, I had a knack for naming things. Friends would ask me to come up with clever nicknames, and catchy slogans. I was called a name champ in my neighborhood. Back then, I didn’t think much of it, it was just natural.
Further, when I went to Northwestern University to study Creative Writing, I started taking love for words more seriously. Those classes were a new world for me. I still know how I was analyzing sentences, scrambling for the right word to make a story shine. After I graduated, I became a content editor, helping others polish their craft. It was a natural fit.
But over time, I found out I wanted to do something more personal. I thought back to the moments when people turned to me for names, be it for pets or teams. That craving led me to start this blog “Name Craf”.
Now, you can find ideas for team names, social media account names, and even business names. It is so amazing to turn something I have always loved into a way of helping others and you.
